Why Use Feather Meal & How to Apply It

Unlike quick-release synthetic fertilizers, feather meal offers a slow, steady supply of nitrogen over 30 to 45 days. This means no burning of plants and steady, sustainable growth throughout the growing season.

For New Gardens: Apply approximately 5 lbs. per 100 sq. ft.

For Existing Gardens: 5 lbs. per 400 sq. ft. per planting.

For New Transplants: Add 1-2 tablespoons per plant.

For Containers: 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of soil monthly for established plants.

For fortifying potting soils and seed starting mixes: add 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil.

Feather Meal Bonus Tip: Feeding your soil feather meal not only nourishes your plants but acts as a natural shield against disease and pests.
